Help Support a Movement

As a child, I grew up lower middle class. There wasn’t a whole lot of “extra” or “spare” in my life. You used what you had and made due until you could afford a new one. Great lessons learned in life, and also led me to do what I like to do, and it shows here on this platform daily. Make your own. Not everyone has those types of patience to do so in this field, however. That’s where I’d like to be of help. Each and every day, I see a family struggling. Hell, it could even be my own from time to time. We all struggle. Sometimes all a kid without many means needs is an outlet, a way to get away from the stresses of life, a way to make friends and be social in this world, and sometimes, that way could be a bike. I see families each and every day at Walmart, Target, or other big box stores buying their children a new bike. It’s a great fun moment for them! However, these bikes are $200+, and they do not last the child more than 2-3 years under heavy daily riding. Then, the parents are back at the store, spending yet another $200+ to replace the last flimsy thing they bought with yet another. These bikes are also not used in any type of competition whether race or freestyle, because they are not strong enough. This also limits the child’s horizons in the world of sport and competition.
